Flow Restriction

Your Down Under Wonder®Shower is shipped with a 2.5 GPM flow restriction device, a translucent white plastic disk with a tip on one side and a small diameter hole thru the center. To use flow restrictor insert disk into hex inlet nut of Wonder®Shower with tip facing down or into the shower, not visible once inserted. Then insert one red/brown fibre washer on top of disk and attach as noted in installation instructions.

You do not need Teflon tape or plumber’s putty to seal shower pipe threads as the hex inlet is designed to seal with the fibre washer. (Similar to the way the rubber seal in a garden hose connection works) If you feel the have to use Teflon tape use only one or two wraps as the tape can make the threads larger making it difficult for the hex inlet nut to tighten properly allowing the shower pipe to seat against the fibre washer. If the connection leaks you may need to remove the Teflon tape to allow the hex inlet nut to tighten properly.
